Science in the Park is a special learning treat awaiting families who enjoy Vancouver’s summertime Noon Concert Series, held on the six consecutive Wednesdays following July 4, at Esther Short Park, located at Eighth and Esther streets in downtown Vancouver.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to and during every Noon Concert, visit the Water Center’s ‘Science in the Park’ booth where children can try four different hands-on crafts and experiments, all designed for fun and learning about water, nature and the environment.
This free series, presented by the Water Resources Education Center, is part of the City’s Noon Concerts and provides science activities for kids, ages 4-10. It’s a fun way for families to spend a summertime lunch and learning, complete with great music. Remember, Noon Concerts and Science in the Park booth activities are free!
Food vendors are also on-site providing a variety of tasty meal options. Parking is available at the Park ‘n Go Garage, conveniently located next to Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver. The entrance to the garage is on 6th Street between Washington and Columbia Streets.
