LOVE FOR ALL: A Valentine’s Event
Join us on Valentine’s Day for a free evening at the museum celebrating love, friendship, and the last moments of our inaugural exhibition at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at PSU, Art for All: From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation.
“Art for All” reflects the museum’s mission to serve as a creative learning lab that is both inclusive and interdisciplinary – while celebrating Schnitzer’s passion for making art accessible. The exhibition features forty-seven works by international contemporary artists based on the all-inclusive theme, many of which are portraits. Every work in this exhibition reveals some truth about what it means to be a human being in today’s world.
To celebrate the occasion we’ll have:
~Desserts and Hot Beverages
~Portrait artists Zac Pranji and Chloe Findtner on hand doing live couple and solo portraits
~A valentines making station
~& Diana Jared performing live matrimony ceremoniesDiana Jared is the zealous performative alter-ego of published cartoonist and humorist Jenny Vu. This character is a Licensed Ordained Minister and Marriage Enthusiast who “will marry anyone to anything, at any time- including now.” Diana has performed marriages live at PDX POP Now! and has been featured in the Portland Mercury. Marriage certificates are complimentary and yours to keep- just bring the person or thing you want to marry forever.
Bring your sweetie, your pals, or your family for a fun and interactive Friday night at the museum.
