Hometown Holidays and Tree Lighting: City of Camas

We are so excited to celebrate the start of the Christmas season with the TREE LIGHTING ceremony back this year! Hometown Holidays will be on First Friday, December 1st from 5-8pm and the tree lighting will kick off the event at 5pm! Hometown Holidays is organized by City of Camas Parks & Rec and the tree lighting is sponsored by the Downtown Camas Association (DCA) and CW Chamber of Commerce this year! What a spectacular holiday evening it will be!

Enjoy bustling Downtown Camas with school and community choirs, bands and dancers, photos with Santa, free hot cocoa sponsored by Journey Church, art shows, crafts & activities, street vendors, downtown dining and after hours holiday shopping in our amazing stores.

The DCA participates in this event by co-sponsoring the tree lighting and also being one of the sponsors of the “snow”! We also have friendly “elves” that hand out festive goodies to the kiddos from the Holiday Swag Wagon. Look for the big white snowflakes moving through town to find the elves. So fun! This year, we will have walkway corridors on both sides of 4th Ave. between Birch and Cedar to help with flow and crowd control.
