Visit the National Parks for Free

Traveling with your kids just became a little more affordable with the Every Kid in a Park pass provided by the National Park Foundation

 

Vacations with the family can get expensive but not if you do a little planning and research.  Our family loves to visit our National Parks and when I was doing some research I stumbled upon the Every Kid in the Park pass provided by the National Park Foundation.

The Every Kid in the Park pass allows 4th graders and their immediate family to experience our federal parks, lands and water for FREE!  Our family got to use the pass last summer when we did a road trip to Grand Canyon National Park and to Arches National Park in the summer of 2017 and we also used it during our road trip to Yellowstone National Park.

It was really easy to get and everything is done online.  Just have your 4th grader (or mom and dad can take it upon themselves) to answer the fun questions about vacation on the National Parks website.  Once you answer the questions you will be able to print the temporary pass that you bring to the ranger station to obtain the 4th Grade Pass.  Just remember you will still have to pay for any parking passes or permits but this is still a great deal!

“Every year, beginning September 1, all kids in the fourth grade have access to their own Every Kid in a Park pass at www.everykidinapark.gov. This pass provides free access to national parks across the country.

The Every Kid in a Park pass is good for the 4th grade school year, until August 31, 2018. Information on obtaining the pass is available by visiting www.everykidinapark.gov.”
